VW Dual Mass Flywheels?

Anyone got experience of dual mass flywheels?

Mine has gone and I have been offered either aftermarket parts or a solid flywheel conversion kit.. (Both about £600 quid fitted)

Not sure what to do, would rather go with what was fitted as std, but I do tow a bike trailer so don't another £600 bill if it goes again..

Its a mk5 Golf TDI 1.9 with 129k on the clock...
