MRT PTX transponder? confused?

hi there,

me and my brother are going to go halves on a new transponder so i thought i would do some research. i have seen the MYLAPS RC4 transponder and it looks good but at £70 it is too expensive compared to the MRT PTX transponder, why is it so much less money compared to the MYLAPS transponder?

can someone confirm this, can i just buy a MRT PTX transponder and fit it to my car and can it be used at my local club? for do you transfer the number of a red transponder onto it? the information if seen here doesn't seem clean.
