I had the same problems with the brakes on 4 different hobywings (which i think are the same as a speed pasty) after pulling my hair out which didnt work, a very helpfull friend re-set my epa's on my transmitter then we tried programing 100% reverse although not using reverse. cured the brake problem it seems you have to program a value in every setting even if you are not using it.
