Hi, as one of the now, few regular racers on a Friday night at Kettering Model Car Club i'd like to give a quick shout out, to encourage new members & existing/old members to come along & enjoy some good close racing on our small but perfectly formed track (including new 'flappy' corners to minimise breakages)
The Club can trace its roots back some 20 or so years to the Rockingham Buggy Club that used to race in Corby, through to the days of the indoor club at Burton Latimer until finding the club's longest term home in the gymnasium at the William Knibb Centre in Kettering. The past year has seen our numbers dwindle and attendances sporadic so it would be nice to get more, regular racers to ensure the survival of the club for the future. We have a website which gives all the details of classes, location & times etc, & can be veiwed here; http://www.ketteringmcc.co.uk/ Our flyer... http://www.ketteringmcc.co.uk/extras/flyer2010.pdf We basically run two classes - a 13.5 BL/27t Brushed stock touring car class with cars to run slick rubber tyres (Timing advance is no advantage on the small track ) & a Silver Can M-series Tamiya Mini class (run to the basic Leighton Buzzard rules)Timing is by AMB transponder, we have handouts but PTs are ideal. I like to think we are a welcoming friendly bunch & have an emphesis of good clean racing. P.S; we will not be racing until Fri 7th Jan 2011 after the Christmas/New year break |
