Default Liqud mask and spray can

Well im in need of a shell for my micro, and need it mounted by thursday, so I'm going to have to do some painting my self as itd be unfair to ask any painter to design in that time frame.

So first of all I'm not too experienced with painting, I'm going to go with red and White ( close as I can get to my current scheme). I'd like orange but need to keep costs down, spray cans seem quite expensive, unless someone can point me to some cheaper options?

Do I need to prep the shell or paint in anyway? Tips here would be nice!

I hear liquid mask is very good, where can I source this and how am I best to use it?
Should I be ok to freehand a design, or would I be better at looking for some templates?
Any info would be appreciated!
Cheers!
