Default Track help, materials - rcp?? self build please help

Hi guys, i think this is the correct place to post up about track making so here goes! Iv posted this up on ukmicro , however any help that anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.

Im liking the idea of a mini z or similar to have a bash on some kind of track that is not enormous.

Im interested in either buying a track or for the time being making one.

I have seen these : -

And have also seen the vids

small track

And have also seen the guys making there own.

Now i cant see any uk distributor that sells tracks, so unless i import its not going to be cheap, so then i come up with making my own.

Hmm i see that some peeps use like locking foam tiles, and they uses something to create the outline. Must be soft i see lol.

Has anyone got experience in making a track or where to buy or indeed any pointers on materials to use.

I may even consider having a large track and get the lads around for a bash etc.
As i reckon a smallish cheap unit, with a decent track could be ace fun for un organized racing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Col.
