I like this idea, I think a tarmac track would be a good idea for this country. Yeah, Reality check, this is England, and we are blighted by utter shite weather....all year round. How many meetings have you been to where it's been called off or stopped due to weather? You all go on about indoor tracks, and how they're not in abundance, why's that? cost. I'm sure a tarmac track (any ropey tarmac will do along with some drainage, it does not need to be RC scalextric quality does it) would be damn sight cheaper and get people racing all year round.

If you can stand under a sheltered rostrum and still get some air time without getting covered in mud and some moaning about grit in their bearings Then what's the problem?

I like off road, and jumps, what I dont like is spending hours breaking down my car to wash crap out of every nook n cranny, or touring cars for that matter.

I live near Portsmouth, I've never been to the CML raceway, didn't even think it was still open. If it's up for a winter overhaul with something similar, I think I may have to visit, and bring a few along.
