Newbie seeking advice

Hi all,

I have posted a couple of times recently, and i am wanting to start racing 4wd at batley.
I have been into r/c for some years but only for fun, so in terms of real driving experience i am a total novice.
I have been looking at cars, and associated gear and have had offered the package below at a very reasonable price:

schumacher cat sx2 with spares
ko propo ex5
lrp spx speedo with 7.5t brushless
2x 5000mah lipo packs

would this be a good base for starting racing?

would the car be right for a beginner?

am i too old to start racing r/c at 29?

do you have a novice or wobbler category at batley?
