Default B4 in the 'new' era

Well after visting the Southport national last week, and the highly attended regional today, im itching to get on the sticks again ( my girlfriend was right when she said id never sell up..).

I'm going to be using my trusty B4, equipped with:
Nosram Matrix Evo
Novak 6.5R (smooth can)
KO 2123
KO 301F
TrakPower 3600 30C

Is there much I need to change to the car to make it compatible with the new brushless/lipo set up?

From when I last had a play I got as far as putting lead weight in the 'usual' pods ( antisquat pod, rear chassis pods behind esc + receiver), a lead plate under the lipo, and 30g on the servo and some rammed in to the bulkhead.

Is all this still needed? Has much developed on the magic set up of blue silver spring 35 30 weight?

I'd appreciate a full run down of a current set up if possible?
I've also heard of people trying to put the motor as close to the gear box as possible, by running a smaller spur, is still still happening? if so how? and what gearing?
I'm going to assume this is to minimise the pendulum effect?

Sorry for all the questions, Id appreciate and information put forward!
