Default Party in the Golf Park 2010

Evening all!

Bit of a mood change this one than what's been going on here of late!

I would like to invite you all to a fun race meet in up in Talywein track on the 17/18th July.

The guys up Taly have agreed to let us have use of the track over the weekend above to run a fun filled Electric RC weekend. The idea behind this is simply; to have a fun weekend playing with the toys we love and maybe have a few beers and a laugh along the way.

Format for the weekend is really simple and it goes something like this:

Saturday

12:00 arrive at track and set up your pitch, book in and then track is open for a practise.
14:00 onwards until the sun goes down is still free practise but we have a few ideas on some fun races and challenges to hold throughout the afternoon like Last Man Standing (Everyone starts on the buzzer, no marshals, last car still running at the end wins!), or if there are enough people from a few different clubs we could have a club versus club race etc, I think you get the picture.

Once we have all got bored of messing around with toy cars its time to kick back light the BBQ's and have a few beers!

Sunday

10:00 - booking in for a days racing in the club style. 1 round of practise, 4 rounds of qualifying and if time allows 3 leg a finals.
All done and dusted by 5 so we can all be home in time for tea and Top Gear at 8.

How much will the bundle of fun cost you may ask..??

Well if you are coming for the whole weekend that'll be a tenner and you can run as many classes as you like for no extra.

If you just want to come up Sunday then the day will be £6 with any additional classes you want to run being £2

Juniors (that's physical age not mental age ) run for free regardless of how many classes they want to run as long as you have an adult with you to look after you. (I've not cleared that one with Steve but I'm sure he won't mind that one).

This is open to anyone and everyone and the more the merrier in my opinion!

There is one small stipulation and that is you bring your own food, BBQ, beers, hold a current BRCA license and are willing to bag up all your rubbish at the end of the day and either take it with you of stick it in a bin.

If you want to book in please drop me ([email protected]) and Steve (Axeman) an email so we can get an idea for numbers.

That's it, quite simple really!

Cheers

Mike
