This doesnt seem right to me guys. This is brand new out of the box. Note the nut on the end of the centre shaft "wobbling".
Have a look at the nut on the end of the shaft and compare it to yours if you can. Im holding the throttle on steady and you can hear the motor revs up and down cos of the mesh tightening and freeing off
Its a brand new Tamiya Spur and new Tamiya pinion.
the fault must be in the shaft itself as the whole assembley moves up and down.

Also, is it normal for the rear belt ( with the writing on ) to rub on the back of the slipper plate as shown below ? I have double checked the manual and the spur centre section definitely assembled correctly.
