Lrp SXX or Speed Passion in 2wd

Going to use in a Cougar SV and on dirt tracks. What ESC do you recommend? Heard something like the SP has got more "smooth" setting to choose from than the SXX.
And what version is the best for me? LPF or Pro?

Using together with a Novak Ballistic 8.5T.
