LRP Warranty Not Transferable - SMD

Is it correct that LRP/SMD will not honour warranties on faulty speedos if you are not original owner, even if you do provide an original purchase receipt and warranty card.

SMD are returning my speedo and will not repair it. I am disappointed, as in the past Helger Racing and Mirage have dealt with repairs even without an original receipt as long as you provided the warranty card. A couple of years back, I got a new Nosram Matrix for £40 from Mirage, as the old one was unrepairable and I provided the warranty card.

Very disappointed that I now need to shell out for a new speedo. No where on the SMD warranty doc, does it say that warranties are not transferrable.
