Newbie recommendations - 4WD buggy

Hi All.

Years ago I used to own a Tamiya Bigwig and have recently decided to buy another rc car and am looking for some recommendations.

My budget (for a kit, I want to build it myself) is about £150.

I think I would like a 4WD, ideally something that's pretty tough but also reasonably competitive as I have a local track nearby and may pay them a visit in the near future. I am not looking for a super machine, just something that's easy to upgrade and maintain and fairly tough.

I've not driven a rc car for quite a while so a buggy that's easy to control but has some race potential would be spot on.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.
