Default Modeltune GP 2010

Copied from www.modeltune.com - everyone welcome - see you saturday.

MODELTUNE GP 2010 (Electric RC and Scalextric)

Directions - Drop Inn Youth Club - come off the motorway at the M12 and head for Portadown. Keep straight until the first set of lights where you stay right for Cragavon Shopping Centre (Rushmere). At the next lights go right again, and keep straight past Lidl (through another set of lights). After a couple of hundred yards, go left through the large gates (if you come to a 90 degree left turn, you have just gone past!) - you have arrived.

Start Time - we intend to have the track ready to go at 11am, so first heat at 12pm - aim to be finished for around 6pm

Classes - anything electric, most popular class is 10th scale off road electric, then touring/rally cars though anything will be catered for (including indoor planes and helis). There will also be a large Scalextric track to have a go on - but you must bring your own cars - if there is enough interest we will have some races.

Surface - Astroturf - minispikes seem to work best. Jumps are included for offroad cars. Click here to link to a video of the track.

Rules/Format - the Drop Inn Racing club try to avoid these!!! Any motor or batteries are allowed - 10.5's are the most popular though. Heats are 5 minutes and everyone will get at least one final, plan if for two after 4 rounds of qualifying. Please remember this is for fun - no moaning, whinging, fighting, shouting at marshals etc.

Good luck taking the crown from reigning champion Jim Lee.
Anything else you need to know, just ask, or ring the shop on 02838330555 - see you there.
