What vintage 4wd race car????

I must be having a young persons mid life crises and want a vintage car I had when I was younger.

I want to get a car I can race that will still go fairly well against the modern cars.

4wd would be the way to go and I was thinking of building a modern classic, modern shocks, brushless etc

As it's a race car I need to be able to get spares

I was thinking;

Tamiya Manta ray, TRF shocks etc!
Pro Cat
Pred carbon chassis one
Tamiya Fire Dragon
Boss Cat
Lazer Zxr
xx4, but this a bit new!
YZ10? But I never owned one as a kid but loved the look of them!

I don't want ti be spending big bucks on a car to race, so maybe this puts out a few on the list! If you have any other suggestions that would be great .......
