A few questions about pred x-11

Hi guys,after a lot of thought I've decided that I'm going to get a pred in the new year. I've had a close look at most other 4wd cars and something keeps drawing me back to the pred!.
I have a few questions if you don't mind,I've been told you guys are a good bunch.
The original pred was a bit tempramental to say the least(trying to space the driveshaft with those gold spacers for one). What is it like now for quality of build and reliability?. I would imagine it's lots better now. Also,what is the availability of spares like?. Where other than the pred site do u get your parts from?.
