With mine I compared prices on moneysupermarket, then got it from Amazon. It has Europe on which has come in very useful for navigating around Belgium, and I wouldn't have gone for a UK only one as I do intend to drive in Europe.

But if you don't intend to and need the money, take the saving and go for UK only.

Regarding upgrading, I have added voices and different car symbols, colours, etc, but I find if I use them the navigator doesn't refresh quickly enough - especially when I plug in the traffic too (which is a god send - but only really updates properly during week days). So don't go mad upgrading stuff for your taste, leave it with factory options and go for more useful upgrades like traffic. (cheap on ebay, just plug and use - no subscription to pay).
