Default LRP X11 Bolts Won't Locate

I am on my third LRP X11 with this problem and I am wondering if anybody has ever tried to repair themselves, this is a 2nd hand motor so it isn't covered by warranty like the other two.

The problem is that the long bolts that hold the front plate on won't locate into their threads and the only way that you seem to be able to access the plate (I am assuming it is some sort of plate) that they screw into is to remove the sensor board.

Has anybody out there attempted removing the sensor board and what am I likely to find if I am attempt it? Alternatively has anybody found a fix for these bolts coming loose, which I am lead to believe is a fairly common fault?

Any assistance would be welcomed.

Nick
