Warranties are not about how long the product will last, it is just about how long the manufacturer has chosen to support a product from developing problems due to manufacturing defects during it's life.

The new LRP esc's will not suddenly implode on themselves after 2 years....they, like ALL other products, will most likely keep working completely fine for as long as they kept in good condition and not abused.

LRP were very brave to offer a 25 year warranty from the beginning IMO. RC is a very abusive environment for electrics to work in, and with increased popularity, increased power, ever developing technology and numbers of product out in the field, it's no wonder that they are reducing their warranties (and consequently their own company running costs) to 2 years...more in line with rest of their competitors!!!
