mini moto help?

hi there iv had had my mini moto for about week and it has been loads of fun with my mates but today i had a fuel filter leek so i fixed it and got on it and it was leeking out of a small pipe so i turned the carb off and it stoped but i need it on to use the carb to run it but after about 3 mins of it beeing of it set alight but i quikly put it out. so is there enybody out there that has had this problem or nose how to solve it lmao hope somone can help
