Tamiya & Lipo's

Hi,

What do I need to do if i want to run Lipo's in my Tamiya, do I need to change the speed controller & motor or can i run my standard 540?

I guess lipo's also need an esc?

Sorry for all these q's, never have looked into lipo's before...
