Novak Super Flex Replacment Issue

I have bought a second hand Novak GTB ESC and SS Brushless motor. I have attached it all up and it works perfectly. However the previous owner needed the leads to the motors somewhat shorter than I do so I need to replace them to make them longer.

I can only find a US supplier of the offical Novak replacemnt wires (http://hobbyshack.com/Novak-Super-Fl...B000H6FZGQ.htm) does any one know what gague flux this is (maybe 14G)?

Would replacing it with generic 12G flux (such as http://www.apexmodels.com/gbu0-prodshow/APEX089.html) work?
