We've just been talking about radio stations at work. Most of my colleagues listen to Galaxy or Metro - main stream pop. I'm trying to introduce them to music akin to what's played on Virgin, and will be putting a CD together to take to the office after the weekend, as the virgin reception is poor. The question is what tracks do I put on. what are the best songs to represent this station / genre. Music that people might recognise, but isnt usually played on the "pop" stations at the moment.
Ive come up with a few Id like to stick on: Feeder Just a day OCS Day we caught the train Shed 7 Disco down Amy Winehouse Tears dry on their own Oasis (Dont look back in anger? or something maybe a bit more obscure? That new Prodigy mix of falling down sounds good). Corner house Brimful of Asha Ash Girl from Mars or Oh Yeah. Stereophonics Thousand Trees Snow Patrol Spitting Games What do the Ooplers think of these suggestions? What songs would you suggest? Try to keep the songs upbeat, they're supposed to motivate us at work.
