Default Mid air car control???

Evenin chaps and chapesses, just been viewin some vids on Youtube of rc trucks and buggy jumps.
On some it seams that the 'flip' of the car is being controled i.e. as the car is flipping end over end in mid air it suddenly stops and levels out ready for landing...Looks to me like the centrifugal force of the wheels spinning stops the flip and controls the car!!!

The jumps i'v been lookin at were hoooge!!!
What i want to know is, is my theory correct and can this/ is this technique used on regular buggy jumps on normal tracks and if so were would you apply the power and for how long??

Cheers.....

Paul...
