Unhappy Faulty Spektrum RX or a binding problem?

Hi,

Just installed a new SR3001 Pro and am having trouble getting it to work even after having gone through the manual.

On power up the LED flashes immediately very fast - this I presume means it's unbound to the TX.

I have followed the binding instructions but when I get to the end (power on TX with bind button pressed) the LED on the RX goes off instead of solid on.
The LED on the TX does the correct thing and goes solid on.

I believe that when the RX LED is off (with power applied) it means that it's in failsafe mode?

Anyway, the binding process isn't working, if I switch off the power to the RX and then back on again, I'm back to the very rapid flashing LED which I again presume means unbound.

Hoping to get this going in time for racing today so would appreciate any help.....

BTW - RX was bought second hand but came sealed and unopened so I'm confident that it wasn't damaged unless it came from the manufacturer like that.

Thanks

Martin
