Ive noticed how there are a few electric racers taking an interest in 8th scale since the neo press release, i hope you dont rob places from us dedicated 8th scale racers
The ace servo's are definatly the benchmark in 8th scale, they are also pretty well priced when you can buy a pair for £100. The 1015's are the ones to get. I used the XP (associated) version of them for a while and although i didnt physically break any i did have to send a load of them back as they started twitching badly when on idle, i think around 10 went back because of this over the cause of 6 months. The returns policy on them is excellent and they get replaced straight away, a lot of people leave them when they start twitching but i always returned mine.
I have since swapped over to the new futaba Brushless servo's which although twice the price of the ace's they are a much nicer servo, they are so smooth and powerful i think they are worth the extra outlay. I use a BLS351 on steering and BLS451 on throttle and they have been flawless, i have 6 servos in 3 different cars which have been ran for 5 months and i have had zero problems. ONe really nice feature is that they have proper gaskets on the cases which really keep the moisture out, the Novarossi GP last month was flooded and i ran my car through the worst of the rain and i checked my servos after to find they where bone dry. Other people running aces didnt have the same water tightness. The Futaba servos definatly get my vote. However the cost effective solution is definatly the Ace/XP servo's
