Stiff drive train.

Hi Guys,

This is going to be stupid question, but hope someone can point out what maybe wrong.

I have built the Cat half way through and placed all the belts on and the drive train is prett stiff is this right or wrong?
The belts are lose at point but everything seems stiff to turn doesnt move freely if you know what i mean like touring car does.
Also on page 4 in the manual Step 5 the white gear when placed on do you tighten that nut up really tight or just leave bit loose cause i have notice if you tighten it up that get stiff.
I guess ive gone wrong somewhere, hope someone has any ideas what it might be.........

Apart from that the car goes together so well i'm very impressed
