Question Pinion for DB01 with 12*2 motor?

Hi all,

Has just built my DB01 (Durga), and have fitted a oldish T.Q. Motor 12*2t that I had come over rather cheap.

My main vorries are the desition of pinion to use to not overload the motor...

In Oople's review he used a 21t pinion with a new 14t motor, I do not know- but my guess is that the test motor and my motor could be compared to one and another, think that the 2t difference is eaten up by the age.

I today only have the supplyed 17/23t pinions, but I do also have a couple of 22t pinions, from past Tamiya kits, I guess they should be 48dp pitch, but when I roll the pinion on the spur, they do not fit the mesh as good as the supplied once.

So could anyone help me out with ideas?

Thank you in advance!

Tobias
