Other forums are charging for membership and when people become 'formu supporters or VIP members' they get access to features such as PM's, the For Sale section and review or race report sections. Additionally if a shop wants to market themselves on there then they pay a 'friend of forum' fee which is usually somewhere near £50\year. It's free to people who use the basics.

I think payed member access to the For Sale section only would stop users just coming on the forum to just sell there gear and then we would build up a better trust of who we are dealing with, well thats my thought on it
