an indoor off-road facility would be amazing.
the US hobby shop business model makes perfect sense, with the larger shops having track facilities on-site. buy stuff, race stuff, break stuff, buy more stuff, etc etc.
you can get a big enough structure built for 10-15k, plus whatever the land costs, and the dirt to make the track. but it's difficult to judge turnout figures, and entry fees would have to be raised to recoup the costs. it is something I'd like to do though.
finding a barn would be cheaper, but as yet I've had no luck.
what i'd like to see is an offroad spec-racing class - kind of like the tamiya eurocup but for off road cars. everyone has to use a control tyre and one make & wind of motor - creating a totally level playing field.
