Nationals 2008/9 Information
The Dates are
13 + 14 September - Chesterfield
18 + 19 Oct - Crewe (30 Years of 1/12 meeting)
22 + 23 Nov - Jarrow (Tyneside)
13 + 14 Dec - Tamworth
17 + 18 Jan - Plymouth
7 + 8 Feb - Maritime - Stock Class GP (1 event over both days)
14 + 15 Mar - Chesterfield - Modified Class GP (1 event over both days)
For the first 5 events Saturday is Stock Class, Sunday is Modified.
You can enter either or both.
The last 2 events are for Stock & Modified respectivly and each event is run over the 2 days.
Entry Fee is £13 per day / £25 per weekend.
So we have 6 rounds of the Stock Class and 6 rounds of the Modified class.
To qualify for a championship finishing position you need to complete 4 events in a class.
(e.g. For example if you work Saturdays you can just do 4 of the Sundays and you would get a championship finishing position for the Modified class.)
Entry Forms will be available from:-
http://www.brca.org/
And are posted on here.
Full directions, hotel lists etc will be distributed in due course, and will also be in confirmations of entry.
Finals are of the A-Z variety, trophies to top 3 in each.
On Modifed days there are 2 classes to chose from - Open Modified where virtually any motor goes or sport modified for brushed motors down to 12 turns & Brushless 10.5's (more details below)
There are also separate championships for Formula 2 and Formula 3 (All drivers are placed into a Formula based on their ability, by the qualifying officer) this runs over the year and is based on the same format as the Open or Formula1 championship described above.
So essentially at events you qualify and race against people of roughly your own ability, there is a Championship for drivers of all ability to chase, and you dont have to do too much road mileage to qualify for it. (Though I would personally recommend making the effort as theyre all excellent meetings.)
System RC AMB system in use, personal transponders required.
European Championship 2009
Should be in Spain springtime ish.
Entry Requirements: Do you want to go? While we do have to apply for places we can normally get all that are required to meet demand, we will be asking at the first & second national - and on here - who's interested and we will obtain an entry place for you.
There is no required ability level F3 is fine..
If you have never been to an International Model Car Race, this is the place to start, as its not as expensive as you might think and loads of fun.
Rule & Procedure Changes for 2008/9 Season
Only a couple of changes this year
i) Stock Class - any motor conforming to EB lists for 19t Stock motors or 10.5 Brushless.
ii) Sport Modified - brushed motors conforming to the EB lists with a minimum of 12 turns. (e.g. a 12 double right up to a 27 stock if you wish) & 10.5 Brushless Motors again to the E.B. list.
iii) Don't forget that you should have a personal transponder for this years events - no handouts.
Anything else need clarification ask away
