Default DRIVESHAFT ANGLE ON THE S2

Hi all,

I'm sure that everyone that owns an S2 has noticed the way that the Driveshafts are angled towards the front of the Car. I'm not exactly sure what benefit this has?
I have noticed recently though, that a small number of Racers have modified their S2's, by reversing the Rear Wishbones back(to original B4 position), cutting a small segment out of the Front section of the Inner part of the Wishbone, allowing(with spacers) the Wishbone to be adjusted in the forward position to make the Driveshafts run level. As well as altering this, I think that the C Hub Spacer(AE Part No 9580) on the Front Wishbones have to be moved to the front section, to re-adjust the Wheelbase.
In doing these modifications, does anybody know how/if this improves the Car? Traction?...etc
If the Rear Wishbones are refitted in the Std B4 position, where do the Rear Shocks attach? As there fitted right on the Rear of the S2, whereas there on the front of a B4.
