With the IFMAR worlds in Japan next year, how big do you think the odds are that Tamiya will come with a TRF 2WD buggy ? i think it's rather high. My arguments :
- Tamiya seems serious with off road racing looking at the TRF501
- The worlds are in Japan in 2007
- Their archrivals Kyosho seem to be coming with the new Ultima RB5. Remember, Kyosho came with the ZX5, Less then a year later, the Tamiya factory guys are running the TRF501. Believe me : this is NO coincidence.
- I have the feeling they are pushing the release date of the TRF501, so they have enough time to surprise us with a 2WD at the worlds.
- Their factory guys (including Reinhard) have been running B4's the entire year. They didn't do that in previous years so my guess is that they were building 2WD off road experience in their team and did some industrial spying.
What are your thoughts ?
