New back to the sport after taking 7 1/2 years out

There is a x10 in the for sale, can this be upgrade to x11? How much will this cost?
How strong is the car? Because the last time I raced, I broke it alot, going back to the ETQ
Can you fit a brushless motor in the x10? Which are good ones out there?
Which is a good radio gear, because it has moved on since I last raced.
What spares and upgrades should I get?
Because I have spoke to a lot of shops, but it is hard to find out information because they only want to sell you other stuff what they stock.
