Some new and interesting developments on the Schumacher CAT SX cars were seen at the recent second round of the BRCA 10th off road National series held at Oswestry.
Phil Booth was on hand to help with the teams pre-production prototype cars and was kind enough to show us the latest developments and a nicely finished LiPo car.
The latest cars now feature moulded composite upper gearbox halves (and shock tower mounts) - though the alloy lower halves remain front and rear. Some of the complexity of the front suspension has been done away with by the introduction of pre-set interchangeable castor blocks.
The idler gears also now come shielded by a moulded cover.
