IMO their not needed in off road, on road is more suited as it's all precision with TC. I'd still be interested in seeing if you get any gain from it.

i've got one for my x10, it's helpful for that, to make sure the toe in on the rear is the same, but i've never used it for anything else, seems to give totally different readings to when the wheels and tyres are on for camber.

One thing i do when using mine is to use a large washer to spread the load of the wheel nut seems to make it a bit more accurate.

It is an experiment, thanks for the washer advice turbo, I used one of these on my tc4 and the results were astounding, its more about matching camber, toe in etc on both sides of the car

from what i have found tc are far more sensitive to small set up changes.

I have one and think it's great, as long as you're not expecting too much. I also think the benefits are physcoligical.

Firstly you need to make sure it's on a perfectly flat surface. I have a glass topped table which I Mr Sheen before use.

I use it for setting all the cambers every now and again (as they do move some). Now I always run -1 deg everywhere and whilst if that's not bang on I doub it makes much difference, in my mind I really like to know that it's the same on all 4 corners! It also put my mind at rest that the rear toe in was accurate and equal both sides.

Lastly it's dead handy for setting the front end of the car up to ensure you have correct toe in (0) and equal lock both ways.

Mine was £24 + P&P.

I have one too. Its worth having for use at home, just so everything is accurate during routine maintenance - I believe there is a lot to be said for preparation. Its not worth taking racing though, as chances are there will be no flat surfaces and off-road cars are not as sensitive to fine tuning as TC.

finaly got to play with it today, it does move about a bit due to the flex in my zx5 but it was usefull in setting the steering and the camber front and rear which was slightly out.

verdict more usefull on a touring car and not esential for buggys but usefull none the less
