Who's had problems with glitching? Did you cure it, and if so how?

no Mark, only with later series complete TX units( DX3 C/R/S) etc IIRC all modules were DSM not DSM2

AFAIK, all the spektrum transmitters will do both. It's Just the modules that are a bit wobbly. You'd be best off checking their homepage for confirmation.

And its a damn sight easier and cheaper to swap a servo than a Rx/Tx. (Or get a DSM2 receiver)

What would be a "damn sight easier and cheaper" would be plugging a capacitor or glitchbuster into your rx.
What I was sauing is that no other brand of radio seems to take issue with powerful/high voltage servos. Dadgum, even the budget-priced futabas and sanwas can handle them.

So, it looks like using power hungry, high torque servo's from any manufacture, combined with early DSM Spektrum Receivers are the most likely cause of most problems. Now the question is, do we really need Servo's that have a torque of 12.0kg-cm for a 1/10 2WD or even 4WD Buggy? Yes, that torque and more, is needed in 1/8 Rallycross. Are we just using these servo's because of the metal gears, to avoid using servo savers? Or are we using them because we are advised to use them by retailer's, and we are getting sucked in?

Found a glitch problem with a Sanwa mx fm radio set last weekend.
It started to glitch and eventually found that it was the MRT transponder that was causing the problem. Unplug the pt and back to normal.!

Well............. all I know is that back before we had high-pwrd/high-torque servos we all carried spares in our pitboxes as you'd never know when you'd blow one out. Nowadays, I can't remember the last time I did. And servo savers sucked.
