THE GLAMIS UNO NAMESAKE
Glamis Sand Dunes: A remote area of Southern California spanning some 200 square miles of open access sand dunes. A leisurescape for the adrenalin junkie extremists who make the annual pilgrimage in their thousands to revel in the sun and sand and pay homage to the glory of horsepower.
Be it on two wheels or four. Bike, Quad or Sand Rail, Glamis is a ritual; a tribal gathering of like-minded souls whose solace can only be had with their shared passion of monstrously over-powered, extreme off-road vehicles and their insatiable love of speed.

ABOUT THE CHASSIS
Glamis by Vaterra has been inspired by these adventures to offer the ultimate high-speed authentic off-road R/C driving experience. Evocatively styled as a two-wheel driven Sand Rail, this 1/8 scale buggy has looks to die for and a specification to match. From its mammoth engineered extruded chassis rail sections to its waterproof electronics, Glamis has been designed to tackle any terrain in any weather. The four-pole 3300Kv brushless motor provides near insane levels of torque to satisfy even the most power-hungry and wheelies can be popped at any speed for grin-inducing fun and adrenaline pumping action.

At the heart of the rear-wheel driven transmission is a Viscous Ring Differential that has been developed to help harness the power from the Brushless motive system and to minimise unwanted wheelspin. Corner entry is positive and with a deft flick of the steering and a dab of the brakes, Glamis can easily be hurled into a powered drift. Hammer the throttle hard and the Tetrapod-shod driven wheels grip aggressively to manfully tame the transferral of horsepower whilst the diff prevents all that power from going to waste.

Large, oil-filled shock absorbers adorn each corner and ensure that Glamis remains controlled whilst in contact with terra firma and the competition inspired single wishbone and adjustable upper link suspension has been geometry-optimised to provide incredible feedback to the driver and assure high speed stability and control at all times. Control that is further augmented and assured courtesy of Glamis’s Interference-free Spektrum DX2L 2.4Ghz DSM radio system giving you the reliability and assurance of class leading 2.4Ghz radio technology in an RTR package.

Beadlocks, simulated running lights, roll cage and spoiler complete the Sand Rail look and provide Glamis with a level of authenticity that is missing from many R/C models today. But not only does Glamis look great, it has the strength to survive the toughest of adventures without so much as a flinch, meaning that it’s the perfect companion for any high-speed off-road adventure.

THE REAL DEAL
Armstrong walked on the moon, baby boomers rocked Woodstock, and Route 66, America’s Mother Road, resonated with the rumble of the Chevy Camaro. Designed to dethrone the Mustang, the 1969 Camaro RS could pack up to 396 cubic inches of power under its hood. Its aggressive, low profile stance gave the impression of a panther ready to pounce. Even today, a ‘69 Camaro RS will turn heads at car shows, cruise nights and anywhere else a love for big-displacement, Detroit power endures.

ABOUT THE CHASSIS

The V100-S platform has been designed with flexibility in mind; accommodating variation in wheelbase and dimensions to ensure that our products are as faithful to the originals as possible. Multi-part body tooling produce undercuts and shapes that simple vacuum forming is incapable of achieving. Yes it’s more time consuming and yes it’s more expensive but to the enthusiast, the difference is startling and the end result justifies the decision.

Simple details such as brake discs, wing mirrors and bumpers complete the look but are so often overlooked. But not with Vaterra. Authentic colour ways and realistic wheels, subtle visual cues that stand out to the enthusiast; all have been carefully thought out, designed and produced with official licensed endorsement from the design owners.

It’s a 1/10 Scale saloon platform that has been designed around a common chassis and driveline, making it possible to create many different cars without the need for expensive and extensive bespoke spares support. At the heart of the V100-S lies a four wheel driven shaft-drive transmission system, equipped with twin gear-type differentials housed within a sealed drivetrain and transmission tunnel with an inline-mounted 15T brushed motor. A proven concept that our Vaterra engineers have honed to provide a balanced, neutral handling and confidence-inspiring dynamic package that can be further augmented with a wide range of tuning and personalisation options.


IN THE BOX
Inside the box is a Spektrum DX2E steer wheel radio that is not only ergonomically designed to be comfortable to use but also gives excellent control and interferance free running. To power the radio is four AA batteries that are sure to keep you going for many battery packs to come. There is a Dynamite Speedpack 1800mAh NiMH battery that when fully charged gives great power and duration and to charge this pack there is a mains 2A charger that is sure to get you out there in no time.

THE TWIN HAMMERS NAMESAKE
Johnson Valley, Mojave California is home to one of the World’s most gruelling off-road auto events; a 165 mile long point-to-point race through some of the toughest and most inhospitable terrain known to man. Each year, hundreds of crews converge in front of thousands of fans to pit their wits and engineering prowess against not just each other but also the terrain itself.

Two trails stand out amongst them all as the most treacherous and hazardous; Jack Hammer and Sledge Hammer. Together, known as the Twin Hammers, they are the most demanding of all the Trails and a place where reputations are made or lost. Master the Twin Hammers and become a legend; a hero who can stand tall amongst their peers and be amongst the elite few.

Twin Hammers by Vaterra is the perfect synergy of high-speed off-road traverse and bone-crushing Rock Crawling. A combination of brain and brawn; of power and finesse.

ABOUT THE CHASSIS
Twin Hammers is a new form of R/C Off-Road All Terrain Vehicle. A hybrid that draws upon its heritage out in the wilderness and amongst the canyons and Valleys of Mohave. A true Rock Racer, designed to traverse the flat open expanse of desert floor before scrambling over obstacles and clambering through rock strewn passes, blast Twin Hammers across the plains in its high range four wheel drive transmission before slamming it into low-range to execute the perfect crawl or clamber.

The two-speed transmission can be manually shifted whilst on-the-fly via the supplied Spektrum DX3E Transmitter for true Shift and Go action. In low range, Twin Hammers has all the capability associated with a 1.9 class Rock Crawler with its solid rear axle and differential-equipped front gearbox whilst in high range, it has buggy-like performance for higher speed runs. Though dimensionally smaller than other, 2.2 wheel equipped crawlers, Twin Hammers still manages to provide over 50mm of ground clearance and its lower, purposeful stance serves to improve its side-hilling and handling characteristics thanks to its lower Centre of Gravity.

Aggressively styled with is multi-piece lexan body panels and a polymer tuber-style exo-skeletal roll cage, Twin Hammers is contemporary amongst current class-1 off-road buggies. It’s low hood line is made possible thanks to the cantilever and push-rod front suspension which enables the coil-over oil dampers to be horizontally mounted away from the dirt and debris without sacrificing any of its essential wheel travel. Independent Front Suspension is provided via single wishbone and adjustable upper links, which endow Twin Hammers with dramatically improved handling characteristics over Rigs with a typical centrally pivoting trailing link arrangement. At the rear, true four-position link suspension enables incredible articulation of the solid rear axle whilst coil-over oil filled dampers provides the control to help scramble and clamber over the toughest of obstacles.

Waterproof electronics further enhance the go-anywhere appeal of the Twin Hammers making it arguably one of the most singularly versatile R/C off Road vehicles available today and its scale looks are completed by means of the functional spare wheel and tyre and the driver / cockpit moulding.

THE KEMORA NAMESAKE
Kemora Finland: 1.9 miles of sheer adrenalin and namesake for the Vaterra Kemora, a 1/14th scale 4WD Rallycross powerhouse.

The corners come thick and fast at Kemora as each turn snakes into the next. Short straights are dispatched in the blink of an eye as the immense horsepower from today’s modern 4WD Rallycross cars catapult drivers towards the next serpentine series of turns. Tyres squeal in protest as the cars load up, manfully trying to deliver near 600BHP of pure, unadulterated frenetic power. The cars writhe as they struggle with the power. This is Rallycross. This is Kemora.

ABOUT THE CHASSIS
Aggressive, European hatchback styling gives Kemora real track presence with short front and rear overhangs that maximize attack angles and minimize body deflection. A driver figure and interior cockpit moulding finish off the look whilst helping to shield the driveline and electronics from flying debris from the spinning wheels.

Complete as an RTR vehicle, Kemora comes pre-assembled and finished with a Spektrum DX2L transmitter, Waterproof 2 channel receiver and steering servo along with a waterproof Dynamite Fuze speed controller that’s capable of handling 3S LiPo (11.1V) input for insanely powerful runs. A 2A NiMH Wall charger plus a Dynamite Speedpack 7.2V 1200mAh NiMH battery complete the specification meaning that nothing else is needed other than a sense of adventure.

Kemora from Vaterra draws upon the rich European heritage of Rallycross Racing to provide a sharply styled, European 4WD hatchback bodied vehicle. A discipline that originated in the UK in the late 1960s, Rallycross is the blend of high power, edge-of-control circuit racing that pitches man and machine against each other. Throw in the added spice of a mixed surface to race on and, in modern day Rallycross, the element of a Joker lap and you have a surefire recipe for short circuit style, spectator friendly action. There’s a rawness to Rallycross that excites all; from the green light to the checkered flag, the action is non-stop. Close wheel-to-wheel action inevitably results in cars becoming embroiled in accidents as the drivers outwit each other and themselves in their frantic efforts to win these short races.

The Vaterra Kemora is all this and more. Shaft driven 4WD transmission enables all the power from the 4500Kv brushless motor to be directed to each of the 4 wheels and if the power from the included 7.2V NiMH battery isn’t wild enough, Kemora’s electronics can handle the insane power of a 3S 11.1V LiPo power source for truly eye-popping pace.
