Default motor sensor wire - is it ok to extend?

My motor sensor wire is too short.
Am I ok to cut it and solder in extensions as I've been told that I can't do that.
If not, where is the best place to get the connectors so I can make a new one?
I've got a speed passion motor and esc if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Wingers

one of those things that is not worth doing yourself. There are plenty of high-grade silicone cables available like these...

By the time you have bought the connectors, the proper wire, the crimper and taken several attempts to make a good one, it will cost you more than a new cable. Don't solder the wires into the pins as this will be a failure point due to cracking of the wires where the solid bit full of solder meets the flexible bit of the wire. HTH

I've got 10 connectors on the way now for £3.50 so will give that a go.
I should be able to get the length spot on that way but if it doesn't go well then your link seems to be the best Ebay option.

Thanks
