Hi, does anyone know if there is any plans for somebody to bring in Yokomo kits/parts?
Really want to run a B-max again but getting the kits etc is a real pain and can be pricey. Would be great if someone would take them on. Dave

They don't do off road stuff any more. All the advertised stuff is not up to date I don't think.
As for prices, they are no worse than Kyosho or Tamiya.

Having said that the B-Max was meant to be an affordable racer IIRC? It's somewhat difficult to see where the money goes (obviously carbon and aluminium isn't the answer to everything, but there's not a lot of eye-candy on that B-Max...

It is affordable until you look at the worlds edition etc. the quality of the Yokomo kits is second to none. I think they deserve to be more popular than they are.

Sorry to repeat myself but I totally agree.
I still think despite all the off-roaders out there, the bmax4 is the best handling and so satisfying to drive. CML don't really distribute yok any longer to be honest... Great to see you back with the Yok Dave! |

I think CML are still the official uk importers for yokomo, but from what I understand due to exchange rates making the cars crazy costly they don't realy stock parts for the offroad cars.
also before the B44 the AE/cml team ran the yokomos as a 4wd to match the RC10 in 2wd and did do for years, but when the B44 arrived I think AE called time on that deal requesting the team ran the 44.kinda killed seeing yokomo on uk tracks. Shame as I realy did love my MBX4 worlds but as the parts supply dried up it had to go ![]()

It's a real shame. I loved my B Max, best handling car i've ever owned and the quality was superb.
There's certainly demand for Yokomo in the UK, come on CML

I loved my b-max, it was so nice and easy to drive fast. I decided to get a b44.1 because parts support in the UK was and is poor. I still have my b-max and if there was a full Yokomo presence in the UK I probably would switch back to running Yokomo as their quality is second to none.

Unfortunately there is nothing in the uk a little like tamiya and kyosho! japanese cars and parts are too expensive to bring in.
If you want to run a bmax i suggest you stock up on parts from race and drift! |

It seems to me that CML don't want to relinquish their distribution rights but will not support them either as it could hit B44 sales. Or maybe they're waiting for the distribution contract to time out as such.
If the exchange rate is such an issue then how can Team Yokomo EU sale kits and spares at reasonable prices? I hope that this gets sorted and Yokomo are supported as they should be in the UK. |

I understand the parts may be premium money to bring in but it would appear Yokomo have some quite dedicated followers so surely if CML sold the kit they should honour the parts distribution. Unless as badger5 has said they're waiting for their contract to end but seeing as CML were distributing Yokomo when I was doing TC 12 years ago surely it would have been up by now or perhaps Yokomo Japan aren't that interested in the UK Market ? |

I think it's that yokomo can't be arsed...
There is hardly anyone in Europe with significant stocks anyway Not many European drivers with yokomo either.. |

Well maybe if they could be arsed they'd get the drivers ? Catch 22, shame though !

My son (B-Max4II std) and me (B-Max2; old B-Max4 roller for spares) are really happy with our Yokes. Getting parts may be not as easy to get e.g. as for AE cars, but on the other hand you don't really need many spares. Prices in Japan or France are really reasonable, only shipping is more expensive. Parts support in Germany is slowly but surely getting better also. I'll probably get a B-Max4II Worlds Spec next year (or whatever version will be available then) although there are many interesting 4WDs on the horizon. I just cannot imagine a better handling car.
