They are a really neat idea actually. They come from Speed Passion. I haven't got any personally, but have seem them used.

Personally dont see the point so simple to just solder the wires into the board.

Ash, I think the idea is that it will prevent the copper from delaminating from the FR4 which can happen with time or soldering abuse.

Speed Passion stuff is distributed by Schumacher. I did have the part number for them somewhere - but no idea where. Suspect it may be on a previous month's news letter - maybe last month.

tar muchly ...... so much has changed whilst I've been away racing 1/8th, not sure who distributes what and what some companies are called now!!!!
