Sometimes I use shortend rear hubs (not much material to shorten the X-6 arm) it gives a bit better sideways grip in the rear comming out of the corners when accelerating. Not much use on high grip conditions but it might help in Tiverton or a wet/damp carpet track.
I normally only use it on clay tracks or wet conditions, or just install 0,5 hubs. |

The X 6 is a shade shorter than a B4 anyway. I must admit to running shortest setting almost all the time and am pretty happy to just stick with that.

Do you run short in the rear on the hubs and the rear arms all set as the shortest or do you do another combination?

Normally it's shortest setitng so spacers behind the hubs AND spacers behind the wishbones. However in a break from my rule above (which is true outdoors) I went to the longer setting on the hubs (sacers in front of the hub) to get a little more power on steering at Worksop.

I have been playing with this a little. I actually ran fully long at Stotfold for the national as it was way better on the bumps like that (driveshafts straight) I am going to play with it long at other places this winter as well as the rear suspension is much more consistent between on and off throttle feel with it on long and traction is no issue with the 4 gear tranny.
Having said that on a slick track short is good but that doesn't mean run it everywhere...........Chris ![]() |
