Default Final details from Dianne - Regional 1 May

Database with all driver details has been created for the meeting and drivers will confirm and pay on the day (£7 per class - it would help if you have the correct money to pay). We will endeavour to accommodate everyone in the classes they have booked.

Open practice whilst booking in is taking place. Drivers' briefing on completion of booking in and heats will start asap after the briefing. If you wait until near the end of booking in to practice you may not get one so make sure you practice as soon as you can.

Gates are now in operation at the Sports Centre and they will be opened at 7.15 am.

Booking in will take place from 7.30 pm so you will be encouraged to do that as soon as possible to avoid any delays. We will not be making any announcements as it is early for a Sunday morning to be using the speakers and we try to keep the local residents happy! Please help to do this by keeping the noise down (no music please).

Tents for pitting etc can be erected on the grass at the side of the track but all cars must remain in the car park.

Opening hours for the Sports Centre on a Sunday is 8 am - 4.30 pm. We will be given a key for the gates to allow entry and exit outside these hours.

Toilet facilities and cafe are available in the Sports Centre. One mile down the road into Heckmondwike is a small shopping centre with takeaways for pizzas, etc. There is also a large Morrisons supermarket.

Please make sure that you bring bags to take your litter home with you or put it in the skip at the back of the skate park.

It will depend how quickly we get booked in but I would say that 8.30 am would be latest time to aim for as you also need to get on for a practice. Our aim is to try to start the heats at about 9.15 am (depending on number of entries).

It is very rare for us to be at the track after this time so it is not usually a problem for us. The athletics track next door is sometimes open - if not we will ask if we can have a key - which is what they allowed us to do when we ran Nationals a few years ago.
