i for one havnt gone brushless in my 1/18th shark (almost same as blaze) and the guys at the track most weeks call me a cheat and cant understand how i can beat them, most are running tekin or novak motors with tekin rs speed controllers,

my setup is a standard ftx 4020a 24000rpm motor and a novak xrs speed controller....

try that setup out, its very cheap and fast, if not fast enough for you you could go to the ftx 4020b motor @ 32000rpm,

motor about £9
esc between £5 and £15 second hand....

i have gone brushless in my other cars, A novak mongoose 8.5 in my 1/16th and a novak gtb in my 1/10th

i no how your feeling, i was beating owner of MB models with my 90quid blaze which was brushed and he was running full blown factory shark, brushless and all the best bits, and only way he could beat me was hitting me full speed at bottom of ramp, snapping 3 corners off the buggy.

i broke 2 driveshafts on friday but it was all my fault, i'm lucky cos i have about 20 spare shark driveshafts and enough blaze and shark spares to build another 4 cars, easily, plus 4 cars (2 x blaze) (2 x shark) i use as spare parts...

think i've stocked up a little too much, lol
