Its all down to the hosting server and their demands. They may host several hundred, if not thousands of websites which during peak times slow them all down, not just oOple.

And the main reason Facebook, youtube google e.t.c dont suffer the same issue as much is because their site is spread across the world on many different servers, and as Mick B said, they have a much bigger operational budget than oOple does.

The only option oOple has is to either increase its bandwidth, which will cost many ££££'s, or change to a better hosting provider, which again costs £££'s.

Maybe oOple should charge everyone £5 a year to become a member to pay for its running costs.
I agree with this.
There is 333 useres at mo and hell its slow.
I would pay a fee to use this site at a drop of a hat, might be something to think about...
I pay for Tamiya Club but i use this site a great deal more.
Come on guys dont you think its worth a little a year.

It's against Jimmy's religion to go as a subscription based site, but there is a 'donate' button on the top of every page!
