Exclamation

Ok, so I promised you all the price and a few details this evening, so here goes....

The Ellis Edition car is coming as a "conversion" as already talked about (but no dremel in sight) and is being released as a celebration of the "back to back" national titles that Ellis and X-Factory have won in 2008 (X6) and 2009 (X6 Squared).

The car features all of the main parts that Ellis uses to such great effect to really fine tune his own car to make it reliable, well balanced, responsive and above all FASTEST.

The total retail cost of the "optional" parts alone added to this kit over and above what is normally standard in an X6 Squared is over £280!!!! Although you will have to wait until tommorow for the FULL and FINAL, OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE, however this information given here is a WORLD EXCLUSIVE for OOPLE only.

The kits are due to ship from the USA tommorow (thursday) now that all "USA sourced" parts have arrived and are being expressed by UPS direct to us here in the UK, where we will add the "UK sourced" items and seal the kits for despatch. There is only ONE batch of these limited edition kits being made (EVER), each and every one has the box label hand signed and numbered by Ellis himself. Owing to the nature of the absolute top spec kit and the costs invloved to bring it to the public it is only being produced in a limited quantity, the total that have been produced is just 50!!! The good news they are heading to the UK and just a very select few we are forwarding on to the rest of Europe.

Now if all goes well UPS will be delivering them between Tuesday and Thursday next week (22nd - 24th) just in time for Xmas.

For the FULL spec, pictures and details you will have to wait until tommorow for the PRESS RELEASE, however the kit will include any items that Ellis deems as essential and many which are there purely for good looks, added bling, ultimate tunability and simply to make this kit head and shoulders above anything else anywhere on the market. Chazz has also told me he will try his hardest to get along here tonight with some sneak pictures of the box etc (remember his "night" time finishes later than ours due to the time zone differances)

Some people have already put their name down for one, without having any of the final details confirmed or costs etc, but approx half (just over)of the production remain available still, so if you are seriuosly intersted in getting one of these rare gems then get your name down now with your local or favourite X-Factory UK dealer.......

Oh yeah, nearly forgot the UK Full RRP is £334.99 (remember we never said this thing was going to be cheap, but it is the ULTIMATE), but check with your local stockist from tommorrow afternoon onwards for their respective pricing....

You are pretty close with that list (except that KFactory do not make the front tower any longer )

No the shocks are not there, the debate on whether these are "essential" or not will ramble on for ages I guess, and we did look to add these too to make it a "replica" but it was not viable within the price range we wanted the kit to be, we knew it would not be cheap but we also had ceiling limits to work too (at one point Chazz wanted to include the servo, LRP motor and LRP ESC that Ellis used too in the box, but we decided against it).

Add to your list though parts from Lunsford, MIP, J Concepts, Losi, AE as well as optional parts from within X-Factory too then you will be there, however the full spec will be released in tommorow's PRESS RELEASE....

I"m writing from my kitchen at 1:15 AM, and have discovered the pix are only on the work computer. So tomorrow AM my time for pix of box.

I will also try to give a list of all the stuph you get. If you want the very best, the very fastest thing out there, this is it, all in one Kit, and it will cost you about $50 less than buying it all separately. Lots of people do that -- buy it all separately -- so this is a bargain.

Darren has not mentioned that there will be an addendum to the instructions written by Ellis where he details his personal touches to the car.

Ellis will number the boxes, and if I were in the market for one of these, I might just offer Darren a pile of gold for a very low number. Then I would carefully open the box from the bottom so the signed numbered label remains intact. It would be easy enough to re-seal the bottom, and there I would have the signed low-number box.

And, yes, I'll re-state that we think the price is quite reasonable considering the regular price of everything you get. As Darren says, I wanted to include motor, speedo, servo, receiver, an Ellis replica body, and an Ellis T-shirt. Now that would be expensive!

That "comment" was aimed at James, nothing to do with you. And besides that, it's actually a fact, so if it's boring, it's boring

If it's nothing to do with me, or in fact anyone in the world, why post it on a public forum then?

I also meant all your other posts in this thread too. Just give it a rest now eh

I think this car is a great idea. X Factory aren't forcing anyone to buy it, which is exactly the point really. It's just nice for people to have that option.

Would it not have been more cost effective to just supply the option parts as a kit for those who already own a x6 ?

also making it cheaper meaning t shirts losi shocks and the esc and motor could be included ?

Will it be also available in pdf format or it will be only available with kit?

This is a new kit aimed at those who want the ULTIMATE, there would have been little point doing an "extras" conversion for many reasons, least not that fact that "some" people dont have the X6 yet and if you were adding all this "new" bling to an already second hand/worn car would in my opinion be wasted, you would want it all new and fresh... Also one of the BIG comments we get is that you have to buy the conversion, then a B4 and then hop ups, this puts all the "X-Factory" items in one box ready to go for those who want to and are lucky enough to get it...

The resons we decided against the ESC and Motor etc was A) It would of just made the price stupidly expensive and B) We are not LRP or Savox...Our job is to promote the "car" and not the electronics used inside it, besides not everyone would want LRP equipment, they may have perfectly good alternatives already from thier own favourite brand.

It had to be posted on here as it was a reply to James (hence the quote)

The "other" posts are all friendly banter. I've known Darren for longer than most and he knows that all the comments are made in jest

Nobody says the cars not a great idea, it's excellent to have a choice and not be stuck with the same old stuff

Now climb off that horse, it's too high
