We are thinking off keeping the track just grass for now. Are you thinking about 1/8 nitro or electric?

nitro 1/8 cant see the point in 1/8 electric

grass is fine. you could probably make the track to accomodate both 1/8 and 1/10 so you would have more people to help build the track (2)and get it off the ground

is this where the stock car club is as well?

I think (after NRX) that it's best not to mix 1/8 and 1/10.
However it's not my call, so do what's best for the track!

I can see where ur coming from Col, its hard to mix 1/8 and 1/10 as nitro run 20 min heats an electric run 5 min heats. That makes it hard to keep it fair with everyone getting the same amount of track time.

That's not what I meant.
The two cars require different tracks to suit their dofferent characteristics (sp).
For example - an 8th track is too big for 10th, and a 10th track is too small for 8th. And that's just the start!
A compromise could be made to run both, but then you struggle to get people traveling to race because the track is not the best available for their type of car.

why not try and cater for both to start with and see how the entries go it will bring in some money for the club also come autum/winter all the elec boys go indoors. if you have a decent track you will get 1/8 cars all year round

1/8 only run 5 min heats but have longer finals

I was reading something on here about 20 min run times, they must have been talking about the finals then.

Ok guys. We have permission to race 10th scale electric at the moment. What we intend to do is get a few meetings run and see how things go before we start looking at 8th scale. Im not saying that we wont run it. But we only have permission for the 10th electric so far... Lets see how it goes.
