Haha, i brushed some of it off the front and rear end tonight with a tooth brush but i'll wait till i have more time before i strip it down to clean.

Oh and to point out, in the first pic it was Ben and Lee's car after round one, in the second pit its Bens car STRAIGHT after the final, secret spare shell ??? way way to clean.

Default North East Reporter

Who takes a decent photo, doesn't mind taking the more 'mundane' photos (like car internals) and would like to be North East reporter?

I race in the North West now so I can't come cover all the NEeast regionals - but it would be good to have some small coverage. A few photos and a few words / results. I can do the work of putting the photos in the gallery and making the webpage etc.
You can have all the credit of course - but ideally I'd like to get someone on board who will be at every regional and have the commitment to do something in terms of reporting. Its sometimes hard to find the time / motivation - so only looking for someone who's really keen. Also only looking for one person to do photos / one person to write (can be same or different people) since it's easier if there's no chopping or combining etc..

Anyone interested please PM me!!

Ok, think I better say something, now I've managed to catch up on a little sleep

Firstly a massive thank you, to those who made this day a joy to be part of and host. To those who came to help build the track and those who stayed to help put it away (including JORCR members and those who didn't race Keith S and Peter with the blue van!!! Thank you it was really appreciated) A thank you to Marine Scaffolding for providing (at a good price) a great rostrum, Elizabeth and Michael for the catering keeping everyone fed and watered on the day. To the school for allowing us to host this event and our fave caretaker who as always is great. Bill from NERCR thank you for your help with the computer issues and advice on the day. Thank you to those who helped collect the litter left by some other ignorant people after the event.

Ok, now what I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with, the negative stuff. This event was our first at JORCR (at the venue we and another club use) this took a lot of effort and funds (including from other members pockets aswell as mine) to host this event and I am disappointed that I have to deal with matters which should not have even happened, especially when most issues were caused by what are supposed to be adults.

We had several issues on the day, one of course as is obvious stood out more than the others.

We had complaints that when members of staff and volunteers asked for people to move their vehicles to allow for emergency access, they were rude and questioned being asked. This of course is disrespectful and should have not happened. I had to apologise on behalf of those who obviously forgot their manners on the day and hope that resolved this issue.

Bug 4 - This was returned smashed, possibly by a spur gear, noone owned up to it which I find very disappointing. We of course are aware fully of the members who used this on the day but it would have been nice to be informed as to what had happened.

Ok the last one, to follow on from this comment made

I'm ok, I don't have any medical conditions becasue I am Vader
The only medical condition which would require someone to IGNORE any common sense is a frontal lobotomy! My son suffers from a medical condition which causes incontinence and I find people trying to make fun of this disability disgusting. Due to his disability he is provided with continence aids (which others with this disability are provided with) from the local health authority and I would not allow this to be used as an excuse for public indecency including when he is older. Please don't comment on something you know absolutely nothing about and do not have to deal with on a daily basis.

JORCR's reputation aswell as the one of it's members and other racers has of course suffered due to this. The venue is now at risk due to the actions of one individual who decided to ignore the directions for the toilets and head to a bush. Opposite where he chose to relieve himself was a row of residents houses, one of which was hosting a child's birthday party. The person when questioned found his illegal actions funny. To bring down the reputation of other racers with him of course is disrespect to those who he races with. I will be very angry if this persons actions causes us to loose our weekly race venue as a club, as I am sure many others will be, we will have to just wait and see what happens with the official complaint and attempt to apologise for this.

I am hoping that no other hosts for regional events have to deal with an issue like this ever again.

Thanks for a get day JORCR, fingers crossed its not the last!!

I don't want to add to your post Peter, I think it says it all, the mentality of some people is appalling. However should something come of these issues and both clubs are put at risk due to these actions it should be discussed at one of the NE consortium meetings. Is this really the attitude we want from people racing in the NE region??

Is NERCR the other club that uses the venue also?

(Sorry for going slightly off topic there)

Also, has an official complaint been made yet ?

the club has had an email from the school.

as yet i don't know what was in the email.

but it's besides the point people should have more respect.
what people forget is we the brca have children racing or coming along with there dads.
my wife came along with my two kids and i would of been more than unhappy if my kids had of seen these idiots.
my son wants to start racing but do i really want him to be around these sort of people?

I managed a backflip with a Nitro TC when we were doing some 'messing about' after filming a year ago.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dAtbbQ...5D7E1&index=11

Disclaimer: I can't condone this action in any way shape or form!!!!!

Double backflip has already been done with the Savage at Derby BMX track. As has the double front flip, which wasn't really planned. There's also a 'tail whip' on one of our promo DVD's. Savage is king for tricks and stuff.

Although after the weekend D4 is a Jedi in training. Also managed to pull a couple of backflips in my last final when I was in the states at the competition hobbies race.
