What's a good small rc helicopter? Someone at work got some toysRus thing for 20 quid and it's quite fun - tho doesn't have the full controls (whatever the technical term is) but only power and left/right.
I know nowt about these things but I fancy some sort of lil helicopter as it's quite a laugh bashing this thing off stuff. Any ideas? what have people got? I don't wanna get all crazy and start buying micro servos and all that madness. Just somet cheap and RTR |

I have a Blade CX2
It comes with lipo and spektrum and chargers obviously, ready to fly for about £120 i think. It is ace. Blades and stuff are easy and cheap to get hold of, i would highly recommend it |

the picco Z is the most common micro heli, probably what your mate has - they are around £20
If you want "full controls" when the e-flite blade CX2 is one of the most common. Full 4 ch control, 2.4ghz control, lipo etc. ready to fly at about £110 (maybe cheaper on ebay second hand) not sure whats available in between prices though.

I reckon the Blade CX2 is the one to have, but have a look here:
http://www.servoshop.co.uk/index.php...%20Helicopters There's a load to choose from, and the staff have plenty of experience with them...... |

the little bell 47 from century is a bit of a pig to fly to be honest, the blade is really stable, and i've flown one in an area about 5 foot square with no real difficulty (though i've flown helis a bit) a decent sized living/bed/dining room is ideal for these, and if there's no wind they can be used outside too.
Another choice is the twister Medevac, which comes with a simulator and spare blades, as well as a lipo voltage warning light, MOPS system to save the motors in a crash, and you can hum the MASH theme tune while you fly it... and it's cheaper than the blade... |

For in the house i have a picco Z and for the hall/barn(or outdoors when it is totally still)or when i go racing(if aloud) i have the Blade CX2,i like the look of the Blade (2 new body sets available now)and it`s spectrum and lipo,a great stepping stone to flying something more realistic.

I probably made a mistake but I got a Walkera 4#3 thingy. No doubt I'll really struggle with it and smack it into everything
I was up till mega late last night looking at various helicopter sites and videos on youtube like a nutter. The Blade cx2 looks rather good but I can't afford it see how this one goes, how hard can it be! ![]() I mainly got the walkera cos it looks funny haha, or it will after I've 'oOpleChoppered' it ![]()
